For thousands of years, visitors have considered the Blue Springs area the Gem of the Ozarks. Many of America's earliest inhabitants utilized the bluff shelter and Spring for survival. One can only imagine the value they placed on this magnificent site.
In historic times, both Natives and settlers enjoyed this sacred Spring and used it as a trading post and grain mill. The weary Cherokee, on their infamous Trail of Tears sought refuge and hope from these hallowed grounds.
More recently, dedicated individuals have diligently strived to enhance the existing Splendor of the Spring and surrounding area. Beautiful gardens, boardwalks, gazebo and Visitors Center make Blue Springs a once in a lifetime experience!
